Application | Plastic / Synthetic welding

Induction plastic welding: strong, watertight, and reproducible.

RF Heating Consult develops inductive welding processes in which a metal insert or ring is heated in a controlled manner between plastic parts. Ideal for neat, strong, and leak-proof connections.
RF HEATING CONSULT

How does it work?

A metal ring locally heats the plastic joint.

BIn inductive plastic welding, an electrically conductive ring, insert, or foil is placed in or between two plastic parts. The induction coil heats only this metal part. The heat is transferred directly to the surrounding plastic, causing the material to become locally pliable.

By bringing the parts together under pressure, a solid connection is created without an open flame, hotplate, or ultrasonic contact tool.

The Question

Benefits

Benefits of inductive plastic welding

Local heating

The heat is generated precisely where the connection needs to be formed. As a result, the rest of the product remains relatively cool.

Strong and watertight

Suitable for connections where mechanical strength, leak tightness, or a neat exterior are important.

Easy to automate/

The process is reproducible and easy to integrate into production setups with fixed cycle times.

Key benefits

  • Specialist in induction heating since 2006
  • In-house laboratory for process testing
  • Practical engineering and customization
  • Independent advice
  • Guidance from concept to production
  • Service and technical support

From test to production

RF Heating Consult assists with the selection of frequency, power, coil shape, solder material, flux, shielding gas, and temperature control. The process can first be practically tested in the laboratory before a production system is specified.
